Gomori Trichrome, stain for the identification of muscle fibers, collagen, and nuclei. A simplification of the more elaborate stains and combines the plasma stain (Chromotrope 2R) and connective tissue stain (Gomori's Blue) to provide a brilliant contrasting stain. Tests for certain forms of mitochondrial myopathy, also functions as an excellent and rapid stain for parasite determination in fresh or fixed fecal smears.
