- Intended use: HardyDiskTM AST Disks are used for semi-quantitative in vitro susceptibility testing by the agar diffusion test procedure (KirbyBauer) of rapidly growing and certain fastidious bacterial pathogens; standardized methods for agar diffusion testing have been described for enterobacteriaceae, staphylococcus spp., pseudomonas spp., acinetobacter spp., listeria monocytogenes, enterococcus spp. and by modified procedures, haemophilus spp., neisseria gonorrhoeae, N. meningitidis and streptococcus spp
- Storage: Upon receipt store at -20 to 8C away from direct light; do not store at less than -20C disks should not be used if there are any signs of deterioration, discoloration, contamination or if the expiration date has passed
- HardyDisk ASTs are impregnated paper disks used for antimicrobial susceptibility testing (AST); also known as disk diffusion or Kirby-Bauer testing
- Each cartridge contains 50 disks that are spring loaded for smooth and reliable dispensing
- Hardy diagnostics offers a complete line of all commonly used antibiotics
- Improved cartridge design helps to prevent jamming and tearing
