Position the elbow in the pocket of the sling, then place the strap over the opposite shoulder. Feed through the D-ring and secure to itself. Keep the hand slightly elevated above the elbow when secured.

Remove your sling daily to wash your arm, shoulder, and armpit. Use a wet washcloth and dry with a towel afterward. Keep your injured arm as steady as possible while you clean it. Talk to your doctor about exercises for your fingers, wrists, and hand.

Hand the sling wash in cold water using a mild soap. Rinse thoroughly and air dry. If not rinsed thoroughly, soap residue may cause skin irritation and material breakdown.
