The Smiths Medical Port-A-Cath Power P.A.C Implantable Vascular Access System Tray is a complete set of devices used for long-term administration of medicine or any IV fluids into the bloodstream. Oftenly used for chemotherapy, frequent blood draws and transfusions, the set comes with a peripheral portal which is fully implanted to the patient's body and is placed for effective venous access.
PORT DESIGN: The Portal, also known as Port, is made from heavy-duty Titanium material, ensuring longevity and durability for long-term usage.
DEPENDABLE: A catheter is included in the set, which is constructed with PolyFlow Polyurethane material, offering a smooth and reliable fluid access into the vein.
EFFECTIVE: This system is able to withstand power injections up to 5mL/sec, and 300 psi pressure.
STANDARD SIZE: Its catheter has a standard length of 30" L.
MRI SCANNING: This device is MR conditional, making it safe to be MRI scanned up to 3-Tesla.
X-RAY VISIBILITY: Its port septum has an embedded radiopaque CT marking, making it visible under an x-ray.
VERSATILE: It is compatible with power injectable huber needles.
SAFE INSERTION: This system features the SafeSheath Valved Peel-Away Sheath Introducer, which ultimately helps in reducing air embolism and blood loss during IV catheter insertion for port placement.
EASY SIZE IDENTIFICATION: The introducer is designed with an ergonomic hub, and is color-coded depending on it size.
INTRODUCER/DILATOR SHEATH SIZE: The Introducer Sheath has a length of 5", while the Dilator Sheath has 7" length.
