Made with a zinc-oxide adhesive, Elastoplast tape is water-repellent and highly durable, allowing the wearer to participate in normal athletic activities while wearing the tape. Edema and the swelling of limbs and joints that often accompanies a sports injury or following surgery, can be prevented by using Elastoplast tape to provide support and compression around the affected area. Made from 100% cotton with twisted chain-link threads woven into the texture to provide elasticity and strength.
