Silipos Gels are used in Pre Wound care when the patient is prone to skin breakdown and ulcers and Post Wound Care when then patient has obtained skin closure from a wound. The gel diffuses a medical grade mineral to the skin which provides moisturization promoting healing and elasticity to the skin, making the gels ideal for Burn Treatment once the wound is closed. The patient’s skin sensitivity is protected. Silipos gels are different from Silicone in that the Gel side that is next to the skin move independently from the remaining gel. In this way, the gel moves with the skin and does not cause any friction. The Digital Pads on a Strip can be reused and washed with soap and water. The gels should not be placed over open wounds, and must be removed for at least 4 hours due to its occlusive environment.
