Product Overview
Polyester Casting Tape is composed of a specially knitted, multi-directional stretch polyester fabric impregnated with polyurethane resin. Designed for use in the production of definitive Orthopedic casts and splints. It is also suitable for use in specialized prosthetic and orthotic devices.
Features of the Product:
- • Polyester casts are lightweight, durable and water resistant
- • The open weave allows the skin to ‘breathe , decreasing sweating, itching, maceration, and resulting body odors
- • The multi-directional stretch of the polyester carrier bandage enables easy application and conforms well to the body contours without the need for tucks or folds
- • The low tack resin coating allows easy molding
- • Easy to remove using traditional cast saw with less dust than fiberglass products.
- • Removed casts can be incinerated resulting in less waste
- • Polyester casts have the strength, rigidity, and lightness of comparable fiberglass casts
