Extra strong, non-woven wound dressing is soft, conformable and made from sodium carboxymethyl cellulose (CMC) and strengthening cellulose fibers. Highly absorbent, it forms a soothing clear gel when saturated with fluid, creating a moist wound environment that may support autolytic debridement and the healing process. The gel fiber formation traps debris and bacteria, retaining it inside the fiber dressing. The high vertical absorption of exudate into the fiber protects the wound and surrounding skin from maceration. Additionally, dressing retains its structure even when saturated, facilitating removal.
