AliMed Independent Cell Cushion adjusts to the body's contours and reduces painful rubbing on the skin. This cushion provides outstanding support and pressure dispersion thanks to its clever design. Independent foam blocks are arrayed on a deep, quality foam base. Unlike convoluted foam, this cushion supports the entire sitting surface. No high-pressure dimples associated with convoluted foam peaks.
Each independent block is like a spring, adjusting to every anatomical contour. The result is better pressure distribution and uniform support at a cost competitive with less satisfactory cushions. Pressures are less than half of plain wheelchair surface. Independent blocks reduce shear forces. Meets CAL 117 fire retardancy test.
