Decreases Pressure and Friction on Heel
Rolyan Heel Boot helps prevent pressure and friction when resting on the surface of a bed or wheelchair. It is constructed with comfortable pillow fibers to alleviate pressure from the heel to the calf. In addition, the two Velcro straps help keep your foot in a correct and neutral position to eliminate foot drop. The boot is only available in one size, designed to accommodate most feet.
Secures with Velcro Positioning Straps
The cushioned boot suspends the heel over an air cavity to comfortably promote healing, prevent plantar flexion, and avoid additional development of pressure sores. For additional comfort, the boot has an opening in the heel for extra ventilation. For a snug fit, place the foot in neutral or slight dorsiflexion and secure the positioning straps.
Helps Evaporate Moisture from the Skin
Patients on prolonged bedrest and non-ambulatory patients are susceptible to infection from painful pressure ulcers. Each boot allows for heel visibility and maximum protection against shear damage. With washable, antimicrobial fabric that helps evaporate moisture from the skin and decreases bacterial growth, the Rolyan Heel Boot encourages proper healing.
